Wisdom Body Notes for August 28-September 5, written by Samantha Cameron
August lights up as it turns toward its closing, illuminated by the biggest and brightest Full Moon of 2023. It is also the second Super Full Moon in August, opening doors for dreams – wrapped in a beautiful blue box. This Super Blue Moon, in the sign of Pisces the fish, rings with spiritual song, creative ideas, and of course- confusion. Pisces calls us to be ONE, and blossom from our care of one another. But her beautiful ‘Bleu’ is colored by the opposition to the Sun in Virgo, AND a subdued Saturn embrace. Neither of these energies is about being ONE or having dreams, in fact, they are two oppositional energies to the deep feelings and intuitive calling of Pisces. You might say that Wednesday’s lunation sings out, “Know when to hold ‘em and know when to fold ‘em,” as it encodes a big dollop of Saturnian responsibility, sobriety and karma, which shackles the deep emotional expression of this brightest and largest of bleu beauties.
With both Sun, and Mercury Retrograde in Virgo, we are asked for far more practicality, perfection, and precision than Pisces ever undertakes. Virgo energies prefer caution and careful programming before leaping, requiring grounded analysis before floating off. What would normally be a deeply emotional and yang Full Moon is being tethered not only by Virgo caution, but Saturn’s patriarchal demand to be Numero Uno, in charge of and leading the team. He is also Retrograde, but in Pisces, where he struggles to create strong boundaries with due diligence. The work to use all these very different energies is to slow it down, pay attention to detail, and integrate the big picture. We are challenged to float dreams, embrace spirit, and expand love from a perfection viewpoint. Consider Virgo, and Saturn as your grammarians, and Pisces as your poem. Your job is to entwine and align head and heart to create something beautifully new, bleu, and vibrant. (if you wish a succinct overview of Merc. August closes not only with the wham-bam of the most Super of Moons, but Uranus, the great sky god of higher mind turned Retrograde on the 28, putting High mind and/or low mind in reverse. We are only permitted to re-visit the past, to re-do, re-consider, re-align, and go mad with frustration! Uranus is not only about a higher consciousness, but freedom, revolution, alternate approaches, and chaos. This ‘outsized energy’ is spending seven years in Taurus, sign of the earth, value, money, love, and obstinacy. Taurus is a signature of song, not surprises. But Uranus in his Taurean passage has given the earth terrible surprises of fire, flood, storms, and earthquakes. He is waking us up to the fact it’s time to really take care of Big Mama before we lose her. Like all big planetary players, he offers the best and the cruelest, the ease with unease, the gifts with payment due. Presently, we have four planets in earth signs, offering strong anchors against high tailwinds, but all outer planets are retrograde, and in another week, we will be in high pushback with seven of the 10 planets in reverse. Ain’t nuttin’ moving anything forward.
I needed to let this knowledge be my guide this past week as I was attempting a new set of tech training wheels. Despite every effort to move into new territory, nothing worked. I returned to my original luddite tech brain, despairing of ever being savvy above the toes. Finally, I surrendered. That alone was nurturing. The inner collapse took me to considering other possibilities, and that offered another ‘refresh-pause.’ It’s time to visit the past and follow Venus Retrograde’s desires of renewing the heart, of reaching out to old friends, and past events that formed ideas of love and relationship. Who did I used to be? What was my value? Would I be the same spirit if I had remained in NYC? California? Idaho? Unknown prayers never answered. Only glad I’ve struggled to grow and become someone I did not know before. This is what the ‘Retrograde process is all about~ opportunities to check in with what was, what might have been, and hopefully offering ourselves gratitude to the enormous effort of ‘becoming.’
To tally up this time of enormous shifts, Venus goes direct on Sept. 3rd so make the most of what’s left on her review bucket list. Jupiter goes Retrograde Sept. 4th, at the ‘Taurus point of the Avatar.’ More on this next week. Meanwhile, don’t let erratic, surprising changes upset your apple cart, or deflate from wisely using the healing energies of your ‘wisdom body.’ Make prayers more conscious, for as Hafitz wrote, “Every heart will get what if prays for most.” During this fall of constant change, listen to the ‘messengers of the gods,’ put on your most fabulous outfit to dance on, remembering that everything is connected, from the stranger on the street who takes time to admire your outfit, to the homeless mother begging alms. We are all fallen angels, no more so than at this time. Let us follow the inwardly spinning cosmos to remember who we truly are!
YOUR PRACTICE THIS WEEK: Write a poem, put music to it, then soul-dance! Everything else is futile.
YOUR BIRTHDAY THIS WEEK: Paint your face bleu, and allow the mayhem and the magic to juice your spirits. Look at the past, but don’t let it pull you down. Save the good stuff and feel proud of the life you have created thus far. The only birthday regret is to allow regret to color and dampen your spirit. And please, go out and dance under the Full Moon as you set the coming year’s to-do list…I promise- this will change the course of everything!

Don’t sign up for classes this week as I won’t be there. Go to my YouTube channel and take one of many classes and please leave a mash note to upgrade my joy. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9A14kJKdAmsfU7qg0-HRHQ
VENUS RETROGRADE THROUGH THE LAST THREE ZODIACAL RISING SIGNS: CAPRICORN, AQUARIUS, PISCES
Capricorn Rising: This is a leadership signature that often has difficulty expressing with vulnerability, which both Venus and Leo expressions require. Whether you are working romantically, or with business, intimacy with another is required, and Capricorn is more comfortable with walls of strong boundaries. Here is your true work during these six weeks of ‘heart reviews.’ The question is, “How willing are you to be vulnerable, to listen to another, and work with someone who makes you uncomfortable? This may not be an easy time for you, so give yourself space, ask who you trust, and how does your body react when you are more intimate? How can you feel safe as you open in greater acceptance with yourself, as well as others? Ask what is the exchange ratio? Is there balance to my give and take? What do I need to prioritize in order to re-birth?
Aquarius Rising: Time to descend from your innovative head down into your quirky heart. What old stories do you hang onto about love? Are they joyous or full of regret? Do you feel you deserve more love than you’re getting? Do you feel you are changing your approach to relationships? Sink down into the undercurrents within that shape your reality. Are you curious enough about their nature to change the deep dive into your heart? With Venus transiting your 7th house of relationship, this review is essential for your heart rebirthing. You may also feel your sexuality is involved in your desires for change? It’s an awakening, or a transformative process for you, where you are aware of an energizing passion of the status of relationships in your life.
Pisces Rising: The Venus inner journey has a great deal of review and influence over your daily habits, health, and diet. Do your practices support the life you wish for? Do you appreciate the work you accomplish each day, and do your habits support the YOU you wish to be? This is a time to make your ‘wisdom body’ conscious, nurture it and each day take a step that serves you. This journey of Venus through the 6th house asks for a daily restructuring of daily care that feeds you at deeper levels….ask “How many ways can I bring joy into my life today?” Let us also remember that the 6th is also about servitude, sacrifice, and or sickness. Let Venus lift your heart through the sacrifices so you do not feel martyred. Make the service more meaningful for you. Do not hang on a cross, rather energize your joy with wonderful projects.
