DAILY Since Mercury is Retrograde, I am allowed to repeat, and re-configure what I said last week in welcoming you to 2016. “If you are considering your opening steps, you may find the rhythm of three forward and two back to be in sync….. One of the year’s big questions is~ How can we re-arrange, re-value, re-connect to build better bridges of love and thoughtfulness?” So much depends on creating new and powerful perceptions.
Clearly this is not a new idea. Joseph Campbell wrote back when he thought we were going fast. “We’re in a free-fall into future. We don’t know where we’re going. Things are changing so fast, and always when you’re going through a long tunnel, anxiety comes along. And all you have to do to transform your hell into a paradise is to turn your fall into a voluntary act. It’s a very interesting shift of perspective and that’s all it is… joyful participation in the sorrows and everything changes.”
As we ‘free fall’ into future beingness creating not only new perceptions but learning how to balance past and present, mundane and spiritual, inner and outer, masculine and feminine become larger issues. In last Sunday’s Salon, we chewed questions of perception, and energies of a world given over to the masculine. This does not mean ‘men.’ It is the energy of: action, performing skills, dominance, ego, taking charge. None of it is ‘bad.’ We all have it, use it, need it. Energy only becomes difficult when out of balance. In this case, out of balance with the feminine; the energies of listening, acceptance, invitation, and patience.
Anyone still asking, “When will this be over?” Is in trouble. Our world is only speeding up with greater demand for shifting gears, accepting loss, along with larger possibility, and of course~magic. 2016 is an invitation to embark on a new journey, not repeat tried and true. Ask ~How can I risk? How do I renew spirit through dealing with chaos? Chaos is not going to ‘be over.’ We surrender when we die, but as David Bowie just showed us, it can be a remarkable surrender. Best to practice now how we wish to die; the everyday Savasana of accommodating heaven and hell here. For help with expanding vision, listening to unknown abundance, connect to the surrender of the feminine. This allows more space, sweeter silence, and charming invitations for partnering life…and death. Dance 2016 with delight.
